The Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE is in the process of rebranding itself to become Melbourne Polytechnic. The college has been established in northern Melbourne for over 100 years, but during that time they have expanded to have a student population of around 70,000. The number and type of courses have also changed over time with the introduction of more vocational degree qualifications and pathways to higher education. It is for this reason that they have decided to change their name to better reflect their current offer.
For students with current offers or who are thinking about studying at the college, this does not affect anything. Melbourne Polytechnic will continue to provide the high-quality vocational education provided by NMIT, but it will now be known by the new name. If you have any questions about a current offer, or are interested in finding out more about Melbourne Polytechnic, please get in touch with one of our team.
