Donna Chee

Donna is from Malaysia and studied Certificate IV in Hospitality, Diploma of Human Resource Management and Diploma of Business Management, all at TAFE SA

"When deciding where to study, I found that TAFE SA had a lot more options which meant that I could easily transfer credits if I decided to pursue a specific path within an industry. In hospitality alone there were so many choices and I was able to decide exactly where I wanted to branch out to after starting my study at Certificate III level. I felt that I had flexibility about which path I wanted to follow and I wasn’t limited to my first choice.

Nathalia Pereira

Nathalia Pereira, completed the Diploma in Hospitality Management, Level 5 at NZMA and is now working in New Zealand

Nathalia Pereira is now a Conference Supervisor at Ilume Coaching in Auckland.

“During my studies NZMA Careers helped me get a job at Eden Park Catering. They helped me with my CV, recommended me to the employer and gave me lots of tips before my interview. That was really helpful! I don’t think I would have been able to get that job without their support and guidance. They helped me take the first step of my career!

Tris Colley

Tris, 18, from Rochester is going to study a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management at William Angliss Institute in Melbourne

“I’m not due to start my course for a while yet – it’ll begin in 2013. After deciding that working in hospitality was the right path for me, choosing a course was not that difficult. There were two things about this particular programme that made it right for me. First, it has a big tourism element, and I’m very interested in that; and second, it includes a paid work-placement year.
